A/V-Verhältnis
Das A/V-Verhältnis beschreibt die Kompaktheit eines Baukörpers im Verhältnis der Wärmeübertragenden Umfassungsfläche (Hüllfläche A) des Gebäudes zum Gebäudevolumen (Volumen V) an. Je grösser dieser Wert ist, umso mehr Heizenergie verbraucht ein Gebäude bei gleicher Wärmedämmung der Hüllflächen. Stark gegliederte Baukörper verhalten sich ähnlich, wie Kühlrippen und verbrauchen viel Energie. Kompakte Baukörper geben weniger Energie an ihre Umgebung ab.
